Informal exchange & showcase of the WOSCAP project’s research in Ukraine, Yemen, Mali and Georgia

On 7 July 2016 in Brussels, there was an informal exchange and show-case meeting of the WOSCAP project's research in Ukraine, Yemen, Mali and Georgia, on the EU's conflict prevention and peacebuilding efforts in these countries.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange with researchers based in Ukraine, Yemen, Mali and Georgia, on the preliminary findings of these case studies, which will assess and review the EU's conflict prevention and peacebuilding efforts. They presented and highlighted the preliminary findings, and explained the specific EU interventions, themes and research questions that were chosen for each study. The overarching areas of research are multi-track diplomacy, Security Sector Reform, and governance reform

There were several representatives from the EEAS and civil society organisations, who provided the research teams with feedback, suggestions and (critical) reflections. These inputs are a valuable contribution to the ongoing research. The results and case study reports are to be published in November 2016.
