Summer update and What is next

Summer update
In July, we had a successful Meeting "Taking Stock: Research Progress and Best Practices of the WOSCAP Project" in The Hague, where the case study researchers presented the preliminary findings and discussed what are the similarities / differences of the EU interventions in Ukraine, Yemen, Mali and Georgia.

The Show Case Meeting in Brussels helped the research teams to hear from the EU officials and CSOs what they can look more at and which themes to deepen within the research. At the moment, the case study teams are finalising the reports on Ukraine, Yemen, Georgia and Mali and we are looking forward to share them.

What is next?

  • In September, our partners, Institute of Word Policy, Tbilisi State University and the Université des Sciences Juridiques et Politiques de Bamako will organise a local roundtable in Ukraine, Georgia and Mali to present their reports. These events will be attended by the local CSOs who will peer review the research carried out.
  • In order to collect best practices and lessons learned from a pool of various experts on civilian-military synergies, GPPAC will organise a Community of Practice event in The Hague on 26 September.
  • Stay tuned for the coming WOSCAP activities and publications! Contact us if you wish to receive the WOSCAP newsletter.
