WOSCAP hosts an event together with the European Union delegation in New York

On Wednesday, 22 November, WOSCAP had the pleasure to host an event together with the European Union delegation to the UN in New York. The event was titled "The Role of Civil Society and Cooperation with the EU in peacebuilding – focusing on local ownership and mediation: Challenges and Opportunities" and addressed themes like the EU's efforts in engaging civil society and ensuring local ownership in mediation. Two of WOSCAP case studies, Mali and Yemen, were discussed as well. 
 
Aiming to improve the field, new opportunities identified were discussed, on how can the UN and EU (and member states) enhance their collaboration to address common challenges and build on each other's' strengths?
